Why You Should Join a Club Sport

Nov. 29, 2019—For most people, high school consisted of school, friends, and sports. If you’re like me, you don’t want your sports career to end after high school, but you also aren’t going to play on one of Vanderbilt’s amazing D1 teams. Fear not though, because there are other options. One of the best things I did...

A Weekend to End All Weekends

Oct. 21, 2014—A prominent 20th century philosopher once said, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get". It's also pretty sweet. This weekend, though extraordinary, was not out of the ordinary. Every weekend takes me along for an unexpected ride, one that always manages to showcase many of the diverse facets of Vandy life. Soccer Senior Send-off

May. 6, 2014—As the year wound (winds? I refused to admit it's over.) down, most of the organizations I'm involved in on campus held various activities in order to "send off" the seniors. Beating the Draw

Dec. 5, 2013—Tomorrow morning, on December 6th 2013, despite having to study for my back-to-back exams on Saturday, I will be eagerly watching a group of old Swiss men draw numbered balls out of a bowl. Its the FIFA WORLD CUP DRAW.

#VUthankful

Nov. 29, 2013—A couple of weeks ago, the fearless leaders of Inside ‘Dores asked us to tweet, Instagram, etc. what we’re thankful for and use the hashtag #VUthankful.  While sadly I did not quite accomplish this before Thanksgiving was over, I’d like to take this opportunity (much as Eileen and Victoria did) to show you some Instagrams...

The Last Nationals

Nov. 28, 2013—Being on the club soccer team has been a huge part of my time at Vanderbilt. Heading into the national tournament last week, I was acutely aware that it would be the last time I traveled with my team to Phoenix--you could say I was pretty emotional. I had a wish of winning the national title, but that wish did not come true the way I wanted it to--but not for the reason you might think.
