Nov. 12, 2012—I am not creative or artistic in any way. But, that's ok! I can still get my fill of the performing arts here on campus. This weekend, I saw Taming of the Shrew, played Drag Queen Bingo and saw Later That Same Evening.
Guest Lecturer
Oct. 23, 2012—Today, in Rhetoric of the American Experience 1865-1945, we had a guest lecturer. Professor J. Michael Hogan, from Pennsylvania State University came to talk to our class about rhetoric and the Progressive era. Then, I also attended a talk that he gave later in the afternoon to the entire Communication Studies department.
A Commodore Victory!
Oct. 20, 2012—Hello again from one of the biggest Commodore fans you’ll meet :) As I mentioned in my last post, this Saturday our boys took on Auburn in what was a very exciting game!!
Adopted for Family Weekend
Oct. 17, 2012—Last weekend, I went home to spend fall break with my family. This weekend was Vanderbilt Family Weekend, and because I have three exams this week and I just saw my family, they decided to forego parents weekend this year. I do love when my parents visit me here at school, but this year it just wasn't going to work out. I hope that you aren't feeling sorry for me, though. This weekend I was adopted by my friends' families.
Rand Reopens!
Oct. 9, 2012—This week is an exciting one here on campus. Don't get me wrong, every week is exciting here, but week is extra special because we are celebrating the grand re-opening of Rand Hall and the Sarratt Student Center.
Hiking and the School Play
Sep. 30, 2012—Yesterday, I went for a lovely hike at Radnor Lake and then came back to campus to see VUT's production of Dead Man's Cell Phone.
