Southern Things That Seem Scary (But Actually Aren’t)
Sep. 28, 2014—For many of us, coming to the South is like visiting a completely different world. But take it from a California kid: it's not as scary as you might think. Actually, it's kind of amazing.
My PreVU Story
May. 19, 2014—The college search process is not an easy one. Trust me, I know. A few years ago, I was in the same place that many readers may find themselves in now—approaching the end of junior year in high school, with a vague idea of where to apply, but no official campus tours to speak of....
Congratulations 2018’s (and some unsolicited advice)
Mar. 29, 2014—Vanderbilt chose you, but why should you choose Vanderbilt? And a little congratulatory ego-boost with love from your (hopefully) fellow Commodore. PS that featured photo was my first ever VU instagram from my visit last April. #loveatfirstsight
Tour Guide Transition
Aug. 19, 2013—Throughout my time at Vanderbilt, I never really thought about applying to be a tour guide--but thanks to my job in admissions this summer, I'm now a full time guide!
A Walk Through Brevard
Aug. 5, 2013—Hello! It’s the last day of Brevard, and I thought I might take a walk with you down the main road, Andante Lane, and reminisce a little, because yes indeed the weeks at Brevard have just flown by and it's just a week 'til I return home to Nashville!

Sleepless in Nashville
Dec. 21, 2012—This is the first time all year that I haven't been able to sleep. I should temporarily join Insomniacs Anonymous. Did you know that you could be so well rested that it's a detriment to your sleep pattern? Good, neither did I, until now that is.
TIMAV: Our campus
Sep. 18, 2012—Vanderbilt’s campus is one of those things you have to see to believe. It’s part park, part urban oasis, part university, and part forest infested with crazy squirrels (I’m not kidding). While living in Dakar was an awesome experience, I much prefer waking up to our beautiful lawns, trees, and random assortment of sculptures. It sure beats sandy streets filled with goats, believe me.
Note to self: slow down
Sep. 13, 2012—Four weeks into the semester. By now, most of us are probably already busy taking our first test or handing in that first essay assignment for class. As professors slowly start picking up the pace of the semester by increasing our workload, a lot of us can't help but let the stress accumulate. Anxiety level? Very high. Things on my to-do list for the weekend? Very full.
The One Question Every Prospective Student Wants to Know
Mar. 19, 2012—Besides “how’s the food here?”– there is one question that is central to any prospective (or simply curious) student’s inquiries. I’m here to answer for you, in my humble opinion.
