This Little Bike of Mine
Jan. 29, 2013—I remember one of the decisions I had to make freshman year was whether or not I wanted a bike. At home I have a fairly nice bike, but my parents didn't want me to bring it to college in case it got stolen. To be honest, the desire to get a bike came mostly out of necessity.
The Blogging Baking Buddies Bonanza Bash!
Jan. 29, 2013—Isn’t that just the best title? I can’t take full credit, for I was accompanied by my ally in alliteration (Ann) in crafting it. Today, I tell you a lovely tale of three bloggers coming together to craft some delicious delicacies. The backstory: Ann and I were tasked with making Sweet Sundays for the BCM...
Back To The Cutting Board
Jan. 28, 2013—Note to the reader: This next paragraph was a lot more relevant when I started this article… four weeks ago. Nonetheless, I think the Google Trends graph is fascinating and hilarious, so enjoy. First things first: Congrats on making it to the new year! We made it past the “Apocalypse” of December 21st, good work....
Burns Night, Fiestas, Pedi Cabs, and more
Jan. 27, 2013—Hello again! This past week was filled with a myriad of activities! Wednesday: The food in Edinburgh is actually amazing (specifically indian, chinese, and italian) but the Mexican food is horrible (so they say). Ed Sheeran Part 2
Jan. 23, 2013—Last night, I saw Ed Sheeran in concert…again. I saw him last semester in London, and he was so good that I had to see him again at the Ryman.
Dinner and Some Movies
Jan. 23, 2013—This weekend was a long weekend in observance on MLK Day. Monday was fully programmed with optional activities in observance of the holiday. I attended a watching and discussion of the Inauguration in Rand, for example. Because of the long weekend, I was able to indulge in dinner off campus and some movies.
Art for thought…
Jan. 23, 2013—Ever wonder about the exhibitions going on in Sarratt Cinema?
A Taste of “home” in England
Jan. 21, 2013—As part of my study abroad program, we are required to spend a weekend with a family who lives in the United Kingdom. Myself and about twenty-five other students in my program had their home stays this weekend in Shap, a town right below the border of Scotland. So Friday evening we boarded the bus...
Better Weather
Jan. 21, 2013—Wow. This weekend, we had the most beautiful weather here in Nashville. I mean, it was a little cold for me (with highs in the mid-50s), but the sun was shining bright and there was not a cloud in the sky. Such great weather calls for great activities.
