My Trip to the Zoo!
Aug. 23, 2011—As you may already know, I arrived in Nashville on Thursday so that I could settle myself in before I volunteered for Move Crew. Move crew efficiently moves in the entire first-year class in under 5 hours. I knew that after last year, when the upperclassmen moved me, that I had to pay it forward...
Freshman Moving Tips
Aug. 17, 2011—It is really hard to believe that summer is almost over but that also means that a new semester at Vanderbilt is right around the corner! As some of us return to campus, we realize the daunting task ahead; preparing, packing, and moving into new dormitories or off campus housing arrangements. For incoming freshman, the...
Summer Send-Off
Aug. 16, 2011—Every year, the week before school begins, Vanderbilt alumni chapters around the country hold Summer Send-Off parties. It’s Over Already?
May. 3, 2011—Freshman year is over. Yes, today I finished my final presentation and I no longer have any schoolwork for this semester. My mom has come to visit and help me pack, and by Friday I will be moved out of the beautiful Commons and en route back to sunshine-y Florida.
What Time Is It? Summertime!
May. 3, 2011—Yes, I did just reference High School Musical because I’m feeling nostalgic, even though I’ve only been away from Vandy for a few hours. My last exam ended at 9 pm yesterday, and I officially checked out of my room around 1 pm today :(
The Places You’ll Go
May. 3, 2011—“Congratulations! Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away!” -Dr. Seuss
Legos
May. 2, 2011—A few weeks ago, while in NYC for the ICCA Finals with the Melodores, I visited a gigantic Toys R Us with a few of my current and alumni Melobros. As per my usual toy store method, I browsed everything but paid particular attention to the models section (for toy helicopters) and the Lego section...
