My Trip to the Zoo!
As you may already know, I arrived in Nashville on Thursday so that I could settle myself in before I volunteered for Move Crew. Move crew efficiently moves in the entire first-year class in under 5 hours. I knew that after last year, when the upperclassmen moved me, that I had to pay it forward to this year’s incoming class. Participating in move crew also allowed me to move in early, and enjoy my friends and the city of Nashville for a few days before classes start!Yesterday, a group of friends and I ventured to the zoo. We had a blast. The zoo was pretty empty, maybe because it was a hot summer Monday, so my friends and I had no trouble navigating the different exhibits. We saw giraffes, elephants, zebras, and flamingos. We also went inside their bird sanctuary and got to hold some of the birds.
I know, our adventure seems a little juvenile but Nashville just has so much to offer. Whether it be a trip to the zoo, dinner at Loveless Cafe, or a tour of the Belle Meade Plantation, next time you are in town, do something touristy!
