What Time Is It? Summertime!

May. 3, 2011—Yes, I did just reference High School Musical because I’m feeling nostalgic, even though I’ve only been away from Vandy for a few hours. My last exam ended at 9 pm yesterday, and I officially checked out of my room around 1 pm today :(

Open Gym

May. 1, 2011—I am worn out. Not from finals though, but from tumbling for the last hour. My floor went to a gymnastics center about 15 minutes away for an “open gym,” which allowed us to pretty much do whatever we wanted on the equipment, as long as we were safe.

More Study Breaks!

Apr. 29, 2011—Studying for finals can get pretty boring/intense/repetitive, so I try to make sure I take sufficient breaks to maintain sanity.

Food for Thought

Apr. 27, 2011—I’m officially done with one of my four classes! I’m about to turn in my research paper for my American Studies writing seminar Food for Thought (I think it’s actually the same one Erica took last semester).

Mayfield Orientation

Apr. 26, 2011—As I’ve mentioned before, I’m living in a Mayfield next year. We had our Mayfield Orientation tonight, which consisted of ice-breaking, team building, and elections, not to mention delicious catered food.

Easter “Family” Dinner

Apr. 25, 2011—Yesterday was Easter, and because most of us will be leaving Vandy in a week or so, not many people went home for the holiday. That’s not to say we didn’t take a break from studying and spend it with loved ones, though.

Rites of Spring

Apr. 18, 2011—This past weekend was Rites of Spring. “What is Rites of Spring?” you may ask. Only the biggest, funnest (look it up, it’s in the dictionary now) concert held at Vanderbilt each year. It lasts for two days and features multiple artists of different genres.

Last Bash!

Apr. 17, 2011—Last Thursday night, AOII had our Last Bash party to say goodbye to the seniors (I realize I’ve blogged about two of the three parties we’ve had this semester which might give you guys the wrong impression, but I promise we’re about a lot more than that. We have our big philanthropy event this Wednesday!).
