I also spent Thanksgiving here, so, I thought it would be appropriate to share the top five things I love doing when at Vanderbilt during breaks...

Man-I’ve-Been-Bad-at-Pacing-These-This-Semester Monday, Part 1

Dec. 9, 2013—Sorry for the sudden overload of my sunshine-y voice on the blog, but I just want to get a few more in before the semester ends! Here are some of my thoughts on why Vanderbilt’s first-year Commons experience is so significant and wonderful.

Teaching at Peabody

Dec. 9, 2013—I have recently realized just how little I knew about what it took to become a teacher before I came to Vanderbilt. I did not know anything about the steps that were taken, and the different nuances you could receive in your degree. While I do love coffee an inordinate amount, that is not the reason. The real reason I spend an entire meal on a cup of coffee, bagel, and muffin, is because my time there is the highlight of my week...

Silent Light

Dec. 9, 2013—Actually, it really wasn't silent at all. And that was a far-fetched play on words. So really, the title is pretty silly. Oh well. This blog post is about lovely lights. The Gaylord Opryland Resort puts up the most elaborate, festive lights every winter, and these twinklings made my friends and I pretty jolly.
