Nov. 20, 2011—10/10/11: For the past 3 days, I’ve essentially been my own pack mule, hauling my food, shelter, and clothing up and down the Blue Ridge Mountains. And oh! What a great 3 days it was!

Food, festivities, and free stuff

Nov. 13, 2011—Fridays are marvelous. They’re probably my favorite day of the week because I only have two classes, the first of which isn’t until 11am and because there are always fun things going on. This last Friday was particularly excellent.

Friends, Family, and a Farm

Nov. 5, 2011—Yesterday, I took a quick trip to western Kentucky to visit a friend’s farm. It really was a quick trip considering we left Vandy around 2:30 and were back by 9 pm.

Best Ice Cream Ever

Oct. 30, 2011—“You’ve never been to Jeni’s?! What is wrong with you?” This is how I started my Friday night. When my friend Stephanie found out that I had never been to her favorite ice cream place before, she demanded that I get in her car immediately so we could fix this problem.

Halloween Downtown

Oct. 30, 2011—This weekend, a friend had a few visitors from out of town to show around. While we did spend a lot of time introducing these people to Vanderbilt and student life here, we decided to go exploring downtown Saturday night and see all the Halloween festivities downtown.
