‘Nashville’
A Rocking Sunday in Nashville
Nov. 14, 2013—Last Sunday night, I spent a couple of hours at a bar in downtown Nashville, chatting with musicians and making full use of my eardrums. Later I found myself practically stranded across town from campus. But this proved to be a memorable adventure, all in the name of taking advantage of being in Nashville.
Sips N Strokes
Nov. 14, 2013—Last night, my freshman hall reunited at Sips N Strokes to paint the Nashville skyline.
The Bluebird Cafe
Nov. 8, 2013—When I arrived at the Bluebird Café last Thursday, I had no idea I’d be seeing Kacey Musgraves, CMA’s Best New Artist, perform.
#TBT Visiting Vanderbilt
Nov. 8, 2013—Today marks one year since I set foot on the Vanderbilt campus for the first time. After four days in Nashville last November, I knew where I wanted to go to college. (And the first thing I did when I returned home was finish the application essays!) So why did I choose Vanderbilt? And why Nashville?
Church Service for Class
Nov. 8, 2013—This past Wednesday night, I attended Reform University Fellowship (RUF). I know what you're thinking. First, why would I need to attend a church service for class? And second, aren't you Jewish? I am, and that is precisely why I decided to attend a campus ministry worship service.
Passport to Nashville- Country Music Hall of Fame
Nov. 5, 2013—Since the 47th Annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards are tomorrow, our campus is buzzing with student who are desperate to get into the show. A lot of my friends have found opportunities through Vanderbilt to volunteer at the show, and others have won free tickets from CityVU. I, sadly, will not be attending the show in any capacity. Instead, I visited the Country Music Hall of Fame through the Passport to Nashville program.
Little Donuts & The Art of Crawling
Nov. 3, 2013—I love donuts. I love art. And I just found a way to combine them.
A Lecture at the Parthenon
Oct. 30, 2013—I recently attended a lecture at the Nashville Parthenon and it has reminded me just how lucky I am to live in a city so dedicated to celebrating history and art. How many people can study for their Greek art history exam by walking in the park?!
Exit/In Produces Ridiculous Dance Moves
Oct. 29, 2013—I like music. I mean, I really like music. Especially live music. And there's no better place for the live music-loving Vanderbilt student than Exit/In.
