Why Spring Break Comes at the Perfect Time
Mar. 12, 2016— Life moves so fast at college, that taking a week off is necessary to not only recuperate, but to remind ourselves to appreciate every day we have at school.
I’ve Always Wanted an Older Sister: Sigma Phi Lambda, the Christian Sorority!
Mar. 8, 2016—Ten minutes before the introduction to Phi Lamb, I walked determinedly across the Vandy bridge and promised myself I wouldn't say yes. And then they asked if I wanted to join, and well, they were just too wonderful. And now I'm so, so happy to say that I'm a Lamb!!! Read on for why Phi Lamb!
Out of the Vanderbubble: Cheekwood Botanical Gardens
Mar. 6, 2016—A quiet, pensive afternoon spent at Cheekwood Gardens with family. Definitely on my Nashville bucket-list for prospective students and their families, especially if you're visiting in the fall, summer, or spring!
I Can’t WAIT to Have a Little!
Feb. 15, 2016—I’m finally getting a little sister! A little sister in my sorority, that is.
Thanksgiving in Dixie
Dec. 7, 2015—One of my favorite things about Vanderbilt (other than, like, eight million other things—including, but not limited to, Grins Nutella paninis, really fat squirrels, and the fact that I’m currently wearing Nike shorts in December) is that we get a full week off for Thanksgiving break. This break comes just about two weeks before finals,...
Why I Love Having My Guitar in Nashville
Dec. 6, 2015—Music City, USA. That’s not the reason why I chose to come to Vanderbilt, although it totally is.
The Weird, Short Few Weeks Between Thanksgiving and Winter Break
Dec. 1, 2015—Just as we get settled back in, we leave again. But even in the campus chaos that is the time between breaks, I can’t help but be thankful (maybe it’s the contagious holiday spirit, or maybe it’s the fact that Vanderbilt is just literally my favorite place on Earth).
MY HOUSE!!!!! (And my beautiful floor!)
Nov. 26, 2015—I came to college expecting nice dorms, but not hotel-nice. I didn’t expect the lobby of Hank to be an actual lobby (hence, “Hotel Hank.”) I didn’t expect the marble floors or columns everywhere, or the nice cleaning lady who cleans the bathrooms every single day. I didn’t expect the pristine kitchen, or the nice tile of the dorm rooms. I didn’t expect Commons to be as nice it is. So when I put my stuff down in Stambaugh, I was floored. (I know, I know. You love puns too :) :) :))
Going home (kind of)
Nov. 25, 2015—A refreshing weekend spent in my roommate's hometown of Huntsville, Alabama!
