Guest Blog: Blair Salon Series
May. 1, 2013—At least once a month, Dean Wisclo, the Dean of the Commons who literally lives on the Commons, hosts "Dinner at the Dean's Residence." My friend Matt Lammers, a violinist, thought, why not bring Blair to the Commons? Here's his take on founding an initiative called the "Blair Salon Series":
Sips n Strokes Comes to Campus
Apr. 15, 2013—Last Thursday night, I got to attend a free painting class courtesy of VPB. The class was held in The Anchor, which is an open space in New Rand where students can paint banners and make posters. Many materials are provided in the Anchor, but this class was special because VPB brought in Sips n Strokes to teach it.
How to Get Involved
Apr. 13, 2013—This weekend I’ve been realizing just how easy it is to get involved on campus and how much fun it is to interact with people who are not from your stereotypical social circle. This was brought to my attention when I started working as the house manager for the Original Cast's show Until Dawn: A Musical About War...
It’s beginning to look a lot like the end of the semester…
Apr. 6, 2013—As a semester draws to a close, all of the performing groups on campus start strutting their stuff. Each spare moment starts to be packed with supporting other members of VPAC, and I would not have it any other way! This weekend I got to see VOB’s production of Spring Awakening and VUT’s W;t...
MTAC
Apr. 1, 2013—This weekend was a blast and most of what I did came up at the last minute. Sunny Saturdays…
Mar. 19, 2013—Vanderbilt Spring = Free workouts, beautiful walks in the park, and delicious (I scream...you scream...we scream for) ice cream!

What I’m Looking Forward To
Mar. 12, 2013—Well, spring break is over, and it’s time to finish the last few weeks of classes before summer vacation. While the end of the semester is just around the corner, there is still so much to do at Vanderbilt and in Nashville. Here are a few things that I am looking forward to in the next couple of weeks:
The Rude Mechs
Feb. 3, 2013—This past Friday night, my homework was to see one of Vanderbilt’s Great Performances, The Method Gun. Created by The Rude Mechanicals, the play was my first real experience with experimental theatre. I went in to Langford Auditorium with my expectations pretty low and am pleased to say that I didn’t hate it, although I...
I’m officially an ASM!
Feb. 1, 2013—This past week was the beginning of my engagement as one of Vanderbilt University Theatre’s assistant stage managers for their production of the Good Person of Setzuan...
