Say YES to Success
Nov. 6, 2012—For the past week, conversations seemed to have centered around classes and YES, the system that Vanderbilt uses for course registration.
The CMA’s!
Nov. 2, 2012—Last year after the CMA's I heard from friends that anyone can stand outside the CMA's red carpet and see stars as they walk in. I'm not a huge country fan, but I absolutely love Taylor Swift. I was bummed that I missed out last year, but I was determined to go this year. So Thursday night I headed downtown with my friend Daniel in hopes of seeing Tswift.
Halloween in College
Oct. 31, 2012—Halloween has been one of my favorite holidays for as long as I can remember. Last year Halloween kind of crept up on me, but this year I was ready to celebrate!
Fall Festivities
Oct. 27, 2012—Friday night my friends and I planned on going to a corn maze, but unfortunately it was closed because of bad weather. So instead we had a fun night of dinner and painting pumpkins!
Ultimate Frisbee Tournament
Oct. 21, 2012—This past weekend I went with the Women's Club Ultimate Frisbee team to Tupelo, Mississippi for an ultimate frisbee tournament. I had never been to Mississippi before, plus it was my first tournament ever!
Family Weekend
Oct. 14, 2012—After seeing my dad over fall break, I got to see my entire family this past weekend at family weekend!
Nashville’s Delicious Restaurants
Oct. 10, 2012—Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, I assumed that Nashville's food, while good, would never compare to the deep dish pizza and amazing variety of restaurants that I'd been raised on. Well I was wrong-Nashville's restaurants are delicious!
Fall Break Fun in NYC!
Oct. 8, 2012—Fall break was this past weekend and I was so excited to be able to travel to New York City for the first time to spend time with my dad.
Carnival Night
Oct. 1, 2012—Friday night I went to Carnival Night sponsored by the Vanderbilt Programming Board. This entirely free event was tons of fun, filled with inflatable obstacle courses, snow cones, and arcade games.
My First Taste of Engineering
Sep. 26, 2012—Now this might sound strange, but I was actually really excited for this semester's classes to start. I am a sophomore biomedical engineering major and this is the first semester in which I can take actual engineering classes!
