Ice Skating

Apr. 4, 2013—Did you know that Centennial Sportsplex is right across the street from campus? I always knew this, but when things get crazy, I quickly forget that these opportunities for fun exist. Yesterday, though, I took advantage and went ice skating with some friends.

James Franklin Loves Vandy Guides

Apr. 3, 2013—Being a tour guide has many perks. We get cool swag (sweatshirts, water bottles, t-shirts), we get legitimate name tags and business cards (oooooo. ahhhhh), and we get to lead groups of 10-20 people around campus while bragging the black and gold out of the place we are privileged to call home for 4 years....

Health Professions Grad School Fair

Apr. 2, 2013—It is not very often that I get to go shopping. My schedule fills up, and then I can't borrow a car, and then I remember that I spent all of my birthday money already. Birthdays!

Mar. 24, 2013—The past two weeks have been a whirlwind. Between getting back from Spring Break, tests and papers and spring fever, I have hardly had a minute to breathe. It just so happens that on top of all of this, THREE of my very best friends also celebrated their birthdays in this short span. Birthdays are the perfect excuse to plan fun activities and take much-needed study breaks. My friends did just that.

Whole Foods Cooking Class

Mar. 24, 2013—Yesterday, I took my third cooking class at the Salud Cooking School at the Whole Foods in Green Hills. This time, though, I got to plan the event through CityVU. So, this time, I can not only tell you about my cooking experience, but also about the planning that went into it!

Spontaneous Goodness: SEC Men’s Basketball Final Four

Mar. 18, 2013—This weekend was one for the books. Friday night I planted myself on my bed to watch the SEC Men’s Basketball tournament coverage on my seldom-used television after a day of relaxation and running at the park. It was the hour of greatness: after a season full of “almosts” and “could-haves,” the Vanderbilt Men’s basketball...
