Last Day of Classes and Shrek the Halls
Dec. 6, 2012—Today, classes ended for the fall semester. Tomorrow is reading day and exams begin on Friday. My finals schedule for this semester isn't too bad. I had two finals papers due today, and I have three exams. I will be home for winter break in just a few short days. To celebrate the end of classes, my room mate and I went to ICE! at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.
The Radio City Rockettes!
Dec. 5, 2012—Last weekend I fulfilled a childhood dream: I witnessed an absolutely incredible performance by the Radio City Rockettes, right here in Nashville, at the Grand Ole Opry. To say my mind was blown would be an understatement. But this tale deserves some prefacing…. Ever since I was a little girl, every Thanksgiving Day I would...

A Taste of Home
Oct. 21, 2012—This weekend, my best friend from home visited me at school! She goes to Tulane University, so the trip was a 90-minute direct flight. Here is a recap of our weekend!
Once Upon A Dream: My Night with The Sleeping Beauty
Oct. 21, 2012—This past Saturday, a friend from high school (and Belmont student), Emily, and I went to see The Sleeping Beauty at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC). It was put on by the Nashville Ballet and was done spectacularly! This was my first ballet, so I was beyond excited!
The Belcourt and Samsara
Oct. 17, 2012—Last night, one of my best friends and I made the 10 minute walk from main campus to the Belcourt Theater in Hillsboro Village. The Belcourt is Nashville’s only non-profit movie theater, that features independent films, as well as music performances, theater, and guest lectures in their 2-cinema building. I have been to the Belcourt...
To the Reds!
Oct. 11, 2012—Fall break, I thank you for your timely arrival amidst papers, practicing, and peril from sleep deprivation. On Wednesday, Dmitri and I practically skipped to the BCM to head out of town, loading up with a whopping forty-two other people onto one bus, one mini-van, and four cars to road trip all the way to Cincinnati!
Fall Break in the Smokies
Oct. 8, 2012—Keeping with my 3 year tradition of spending Fall Break leading an Outdoor Recreation trip to the Smokey Mountains to go backpacking, I headed out this past weekend with a van full of new faces and came back with a van full of new friends. It may sound cheesy, but it’s true. There’s just no...
Hoedown Throwdown
Oct. 3, 2012—Last week, my friend Monica asked me, “Hey, do you want to get off campus? Come to Cru Fall Getaway!” Even though I wasn’t a member of Cru, I was excited hop out of the Vandy Bubble for a weekend and had lots of fun with Capture the Flag, a hoedown, and making new friends!
