Mar. 9, 2016—Projects, internships, professors, and more! A look inside Human and Organizational Development, a Vanderbilt-specific major, and one of the most popular ones on campus. Find out about the major that sets Vanderbilt apart from other schools!
Dec. 19, 2014—Whew. My last fall semester at Vanderbilt is behind me, and I am overflowing with all of the feelz. Cue that sappy Vitamin C song. Some of the greatness of the past few months has been due to extracurriculars and just general being-a-senior-ness, but the majority of the credit goes to my spectacular Vandy courses. I don't normally take the time to walk through my class schedule or describe what my course load is like, but as I'm sitting here at home under the twinkly Christmas tree and as Michael Bublé quietly serenades me with I'll Be Home for Christmas, I'm feeling nostalgic. I thought I'd take the opportunity to do a little gushing.
May. 2, 2014—If you, dear reader, eventually find yourself in the same position as me (a stunningly attractive junior or senior in the Human and Organizational Development program at Vandy), then you will be required to complete an HOD Internship. The HOD Internship is a capstone project of sorts for HOD majors, during which students apply the organizational concepts they've learned in class in a real-world setting, a semester-long full-time internship.
Feb. 16, 2014—We all know that Vanderbilt is one of the nation's greatest learning institutions. It's a hub of intellectual development. One reason why I love coming to school here is that in my classes, I not only gain that cognitive fact, but they teach me how to nullify the contradiction between learning and living.
