A visit from my family

Mar. 5, 2013—Hello to all my readers, I am sorry it has taken so long to add a new blog post. The past three weeks have been absolutely crazy (in the best way possible). I had my family come in for ten days (more on this below), then I had “midterms” (one paper that took me forever to write...

Getting Domestic

Feb. 21, 2013—This week, I actually had two midterms. They were in my easier classes, so I had some free time, but I was feeling a little anxious. I decided it was time to bake. Burns Night, Fiestas, Pedi Cabs, and more

Jan. 27, 2013—Hello again! This past week was filled with a myriad of activities! Wednesday: The food in Edinburgh is actually amazing (specifically indian, chinese, and italian) but the Mexican food is horrible (so they say). I was craving me some tacos and nachos, but did not want to make a taco platter for myself. So I...

A Taste of “home” in England

Jan. 21, 2013—As part of my study abroad program, we are required to spend a weekend with a family who lives in the United Kingdom. Myself and about twenty-five other students in my program had their home stays this weekend in Shap, a town right below the border of Scotland. So Friday evening we boarded the bus...

Warranted Wanderlust

Jan. 9, 2013—If I were rushing a sorority this semester, I would have had so much to talk about during rush past the programmed greetings. And that's just one of the perks of travelling internationally over winter break.

Caitlyn’s Catch-Ups: Finals Frenzy

Dec. 19, 2012—Caitlyn's Catch-Ups Part 4: Finals! As Thanksgiving break approached a few weeks ago, I decided it was probably about time to check out my finals schedule and develop a game plan before it was too late. Looking at my finals though, I quickly realized that a hard-core study schedule was not what I needed.
