How to tell when Commencement is just around the corner
May. 17, 2012—I've stayed on campus after it empties out before, but this year is my first time staying for Commencement here at Vanderbilt, and there are a few ways in which the campus starts to shift in preparation for this big event. Thus, I present to you yet another list post, entitled "5 Ways to Tell Commencement is Just Around the Corner":
A Farewell Game
May. 2, 2012—Throughout the year, my band friends and I have regularly hosted game nights. One of our favorite games is Telestrations.
Rites of Spring 2012
Apr. 24, 2012—This year marks my second year of going to Rites of Spring at Vanderbilt. Even though I didn't know any of the artists coming super well, I love the atmosphere of Rites and the awesome meal plan food options (like The Grilled Cheeserie). Here's a summary of my experience that weekend:
Rites of Spring: A Summary
Apr. 18, 2012—Tomorrow, Thursday April 19 – Saturday April 21 is Vanderbilt’s annual spring music festival, Rites of Spring. Unfortunately, as I am abroad, I am missing it…but for those of you who don’t know about it, here is the research my aching heart did to try and make up for what I’m missing.
IMPACT Symposium
Mar. 25, 2012—IMPACT Symposium, an annual event, is hosted by the Vanderbilt Speakers Committee and brings a variety of incredible speakers to campus. This year, the theme was America's Foreign Policy in the 21st Century.

Feb. 28, 2012—As the short winter here begins to fade and we start to get some random 75 and sunny days–typical of Nashville in the springtime–students start to anticipate the announcement of the Rites of Spring lineup….And I’m happy to announce that it’s OUT!!
A Freshman in Disguise: Move Crew 2011
Feb. 19, 2012—If you ask any undergraduate student about the day he or she first moved to college, he or she can give you a clear account of that eventful day. Mainly, this is due to the excitement, anticipation, and possibly fears of moving into a new home. However, if you ask a Vanderbilt student, all the students remember move in day because of Move Crew.
Pre-Exam Mega Stress Fest!
Nov. 30, 2011—This Friday is the Vanderbilt Office of Housing & Residential Education’s annual Mega Stress Fest! This event is put on every year in an attempt to help students get some much needed stress relief before exams begin the following week.
A Dorm-Room Thanksgiving
