CWS Update
Jun. 21, 2011—About 17 hours after the first pitch, a weather delay and finally, an overnight suspension of play, our Vanderbilt Commodores lost to the Florida Gators, by a score of 3-1, falling to 1-1 in the College World Series.

Jun. 18, 2011—In case you haven’t heard, the Vanderbilt Men’s Baseball team is in the College World Series. They just beat North Carolina in their first game and Connor Harrell hit the first home run ever in the new College World Series Stadium.

Summer’s Start
Jun. 1, 2011—Since it now June, and I have been home for a few weeks, I think the fact that I won’t be returning to Vanderbilt for another 2 months is finally sinking in. Coming home has been wonderful and relaxing, but I am definitely starting to miss the hustle and bustle of Vandy life.
Medical Research and Shadowing
May. 27, 2011—This summer, in addition to taking Physics, I will be conducting research and shadowing a physician through the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami.
Summer Classes
May. 10, 2011—Well, that was a short vacation. Summer classes started today. I am taking Physics I and II at Florida International University, which is about 40 minutes south of my house.

Summer Research

May. 3, 2011—Freshman year is over. Yes, today I finished my final presentation and I no longer have any schoolwork for this semester. My mom has come to visit and help me pack, and by Friday I will be moved out of the beautiful Commons and en route back to sunshine-y Florida.
