The Vanderbilt Review: Profiles
Nov. 26, 2013—It's been a while, dear readers, and perhaps you've been wondering what has kept me from blogging as often as I normally do. Well, allow me to show you one of the things that has recently been filling my time!
Running Buddy
Nov. 21, 2013—“You have a nose ring?” “Yeah,” I replied, surprised at these first words from my running buddy. Other girls were hugging, introducing themselves and high-fiving. She was overweight. She was struggling to clip in one of the strands of fake, neon-blue hair given to each of the girls, and she did not want to run...
I Relayed for life
Nov. 13, 2013—After months of hard work raising money for Vanderbilt Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society, our big Relay even finally took place on the outdoor track at the Recreation Center. My favorite part of the weekend was the Athenian Sing, when I got to see the great performing arts groups on campus compete to raise money for different charities. After that night, I wanted to be involved in the Athenian Sing however I could. So, last year when I found out I could apply to be in the Athenian Honor Society and thereby help plan the event, I was psyched!
The Anchor
Oct. 3, 2013—Last night, as I was at the Munchie getting ready to grab some food and head out to Blair for some late night practicing, I got a text from my house president, Henry. Apparently, there is a big contest for who makes the best Homecoming banner and all the common houses were “battling” to earn...
