The Last One Begins…
Jan. 15, 2014—I am now more than a full week into my last semester at Vanderbilt. That sentence is much easier to write than to really accept. So much still to do, so little time!
GRE (prep) for FREE
Nov. 11, 2013—If you ask me what I'm doing after graduation, you'll probably get one of two responses: 1) "no clue" or 2) "grad school." If I respond with "grad school," you'll inevitably ask for what, and then I will inevitably respond with "no clue."
Screening of ‘Brains on Trial’
Sep. 12, 2013—A screening of a PBS documentary series and an introduction to the JD/PhD Program!
And we’re off!
Aug. 29, 2013—School is back and off to a fast start with classes, law school applications, LSAT studying, and meetings! How do we survive the stress? A little help from some professionals, and of course the VANDY FOOTBALL HOME OPENER!
What Now?
Jun. 29, 2013—If I am being honest, my blogging has been quite sporadic this summer. I am usually a regular blogger and I try to set a posting schedule for myself each semester. Thus far this summer, however, I have been traveling, which has left me with inconsistent internet access. Both of my trips were absolutely amazing (thank you parents!), but now I am back stateside for the foreseeable future. There is only one thing left for me do to this summer: apply to medical school.
Health Professions Grad School Fair
Apr. 2, 2013—It is not very often that I get to go shopping. My schedule fills up, and then I can't borrow a car, and then I remember that I spent all of my birthday money already. Today was my lucky day! The Health Professions Advisory Office hosted a grad school fair. There were 17 medical schools there, as well as a ton of dental, master's, physical therapy and other medical related professional schools in attendance.
Next Year…
Dec. 10, 2012—As a Senior (aka an Old Person), I keep getting the same questions many of you probably are: "What are you doing next year?" "Where do you want to be?" "Have you finished applying places?" It's exhausting and never ending. Fortunately, I have an answer for them.
From Music City to the Big Apple
Oct. 2, 2012—This summer I spent my time commuting and working in New York City!
Why Vanderbilt?
Mar. 27, 2012—Every once in a while I reminisce back to those wonderful (ha!) months of high school during which I googled different universities every day, wrote personal statements, and stressed about SAT scores…maybe more so now because soon I will have to do the same thing to apply to graduate school…and I remember discussions I had...
Microspheres and DTI: What Am I Doing Here?
Dec. 7, 2011—This afternoon, I got a chance to see two presentations by Master’s candidates in the Biomedical Engineering department. Surrounded by rabidly hungry grad students (it was actually really funny to see them race for the free pizza), I was first treated to an intellectually stimulating presentation on smart microspheres developed to release drugs in a...
