Inside Blair: Shopping for Supplies
Nov. 16, 2013—The winter weather is upon us, and we are fearful for our instruments. Poor Dmitri, his string height keeps getting lower and lower because of this bipolar weather we've been having. Did y'all see the flurries on Monday?
Little Donuts & The Art of Crawling
Nov. 3, 2013—I love donuts. I love art. And I just found a way to combine them.
A Lecture at the Parthenon
Oct. 30, 2013—I recently attended a lecture at the Nashville Parthenon and it has reminded me just how lucky I am to live in a city so dedicated to celebrating history and art. How many people can study for their Greek art history exam by walking in the park?!
Performance Weekend or Parents Weekend?
Oct. 5, 2013—Hello friends! This past weekend was filled with two of my favorite things; performances and my parents! Like my fellow star blogger, Erica Graff, my weekend kicked off on Thursday evening at Vanderbilt University Theatre’s production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Kids, Let’s Go to the Symphony!
Aug. 21, 2013—As a cellist at Blair, I get geekily giddy about the Nashville Symphony’s upcoming concert season. As a poor college student, I am sorely short in trying the funds to buy tickets. A huge “however” is in order though, because the Nashville Symphony has a program called SoundCheck for classical music loving students like me and you to be able to soak in some fantastic orchestral performances and bask in all the grandeur of the Schermerhorn Hall!
Art Class in Guatemala
Jun. 6, 2013—So, today is actually my last full day in Guatemala. I plan on sharing a full summary of my month with you all when I get home. But now, I want to share an experience I had teaching art class this past Tuesday.
Destination: Dallas!
May. 16, 2013—What is Dallas? It is the home to two of my favorite Vandy friends, Sam and Trevor, who made it their mission to uphold their Texas pride and show me their city's best. Well, they just about blew me away!
