Storage Wars
Apr. 30, 2013—There is a ton to do at the end of every year to move out! I feel like I never realize how much stuff I have until it's all packed in boxes and there is barely any space in my room...Last year my parents drove down to bring all my stuff home. Except after we could barely fit it all in our mini-van, my mom said next summer I would be flying home. As the end of the semester rolled around, my dad, sensing my high stress level from finals, decided to come down for the weekend to help me pack up. On top of being incredibly helpful, it was so nice to see him since I hadn't seen him since January!
Why I Chose Vanderbilt
Apr. 29, 2013—As the May 1st deadline nears I can recall my college decision process. It was two years ago almost to the very day that I committed to coming to Vanderbilt (me being very indecisive waited until the last minute). I had visited the summer of my sophomore year, but ended up coming back one of the last weekends in April for a visit and knew it was home. But why?
Rites 2013
Apr. 26, 2013—As a resident of Alumni Lawn, I didn’t even have to leave my dorm room to hear Rites this year! Sectionaaaaaals
Apr. 21, 2013—Last weekend I finally got to play some ultimate frisbee again since it was Sectionals!
Mule Day
Apr. 7, 2013—One of the reasons I came to Nashville from Chicago is that I wanted to see another part of the country. In Nashville, I could experience southern culture and all that came with it. However, Vanderbilt's campus doesn't feel very southern to me since everyone is from all over the country. But there are plenty of opportunities off campus to get the full southern experience. Yesterday I had the chance to go to Mule Day with some people from my ASB group and it was so much fun!
Fun Times in Vandyland
Apr. 1, 2013—There is rarely a dull moment at Vanderbilt and this weekend was no different!
So What is Biomedical Engineering..?
Mar. 24, 2013—I first discovered my major, biomedical engineering, my freshman year of high school when flipping through a book of possible careers. Six years later I am still learning each day more about this major that I've chosen as it covers such a wide array of careers. While BME is quite challenging (it is thought to be the hardest major on campus), it is very rewarding.
ASBest Spring Break
Mar. 12, 2013—This year for spring break I went on Alternative Spring Break to Jackson, Mississippi. It was an incredible week during which I became ASBest friends with 11 new people and learned about the problems facing Jackson.
