Laptops: Yay or Nay
Aug. 9, 2013—Many of you might have read my last post with the question, what about my laptop? Can I bring that to class? Really, it depends on your professor. Some will allow it, others won't. It also depends on your class. Do you really need a laptop when you go to Financial Accounting to write out your debits and credits? Didn't think so. Here are some pros and cons of bringing your laptops to class.
Miami Summer Send-Off
Aug. 6, 2013—This past Sunday, over 100 Vanderbilt students, families and alumni gathered at the beautiful LaGorce Country Club in Miami Beach for the Annual Summer Send-Off. Since 1968, these send-offs have been held in many major cities across the country. They are sponsored by local alumni chapters and honor first-year students. The send-off was a great...

It was a long and difficult journey, but one that was worth it. Last year, I completed the Music City Sprint...
A Visit from a Fellow Commodore
Aug. 1, 2013—The Vanderbubble really is a small world. Although we both learned about Manna through Vanderbilt’s active chapter on campus,...
An Army Summer, Part 2
Jul. 30, 2013—More than once in recent posts I’ve hinted at the great adventure that is the Leadership Development and Assessment Course (LDAC). A 29-day getaway in the woods of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, LDAC is the culminating event of three years of ROTC, meant to evaluate all rising seniors in the program nationwide for the purposes...
