Dec. 9, 2013—Sorry for the sudden overload of my sunshine-y voice on the blog, but I just want to get a few more in before the semester ends! Here are some of my thoughts on why Vanderbilt’s first-year Commons experience is so significant and wonderful.
A Holiday Party
Dec. 9, 2013—As seniors, my friends and I are trying to fit a lot of fun in the little time left that we have at Vanderbilt. Therefore, despite the copious amounts of papers and exams that we all have this week, we decided to take a break and celebrate. We celebrated the holidays, the end of our last fall semester, and my friend's birthday.

Dec. 9, 2013—When I first came to Vanderbilt, I participated in Visions, as every freshman does. One of our meetings involved going to Vanderbilt's Psychological Counseling Center (PCC) to see what they had to offer. I did not give much value to the trip because I considered it almost inferior to go ask for help. We’re leaving Tennessee!
Dec. 8, 2013—It has been announced. Today, all the SEC bowls made their announcements and chose the SEC teams they wanted in their bowl. On January 4th 2014, we will be going to Birmingham, Alabama in the BBVA Compass Bowl.
Alternative Winter Break
Dec. 8, 2013—In about a week, finals will be over and students will be heading home for winter break. Instead of going home, I will be spending the first week of the holidays on Alternative Winter Break (AWB)!
