There’s one week left!
Dec. 30, 2011—As much as I’m enjoying winter break here in sunny Florida (where winter means it has gotten under 80 degrees), I’m already thinking ahead. In fact, there’s only one week until a friend and I begin our drive back to Nashville—yes, we drove here.
My Hopes for the Spring of 2012
Dec. 29, 2011—First, let me say that I am beyond pumped about this coming semester! Sitting at home, not so far from campus, I have some hopes for what I expect my semester to be like.
Already Planning for Next Year
Dec. 28, 2011—Right now, I’m sitting in the corner of Panera in my AOII sweatshirt and leggings, drinking coffee and typing on my laptop…it feels like finals all over again.

Dec. 24, 2011—Hi y’all! I took the semester off of blogging…. I had way too much going on, as I have often admitted! So… as I sit at home, recuperating from the stress of finals, blogging, drinking hot chocolate and listening to Christmas music, I am going to share my reflections on the past semester with y’all....
Can you say “Time flies?”
Dec. 23, 2011—Well, the end of my technical semester abroad has arrived. All of my courses are done, I just have to finish up some essays and wait for some questions from one professor to complete my take-home exam. Time truly flies, and it’s amazing how much can happen in such a short time.
My Favorite Semester
Dec. 19, 2011—Time flies. It seems like just yesterday that I was packing my stuff and heading to Nashville to begin my second year. Today, I am sitting in the beautiful Miami sun (sorry to brag) relaxing after my most amazing (and most challenging) semester at Vanderbilt.
An Empty Campus…

Home, Sweet Home
Dec. 17, 2011—I remember when I first arrived at Vanderbilt as a freshman for the Fall 2009 semester talking about “home.” However, soon enough, home no longer meant Bloomington, IN…instead it meant North House, sophomore year it meant Mayfield 10, and this past semester it meant Lewis 709. I moved out of Lewis yesterday, and now home...
Review Session
Dec. 16, 2011—Currently, only my biology final stands between me and going home. Needless to say, I’m scared to death about it, but I’ve been studying as much as possible, and yesterday my professors held a review session, which is always helpful.
Research Opportunities
Dec. 15, 2011—I am currently finishing up my final report on the independent research project I worked on this semester. Vanderbilt provides students lots of opportunities to work directly with faculty on a research project.
