Review Session

Posted by on Friday, December 16, 2011 in Academics, College Life, General Information, Professors, Student Life.

Currently, only my biology final stands between me and going home. Needless to say, I’m scared to death about it, but I’ve been studying as much as possible, and yesterday my professors held a review session, which is always helpful.

Preparing for a test is never fun, but professors at Vanderbilt are generally very understanding when it comes to helping students prepare–especially for exams. Take, for instance, my biology class–every week during the semester, our professor took time to hold a review session for anyone who had questions (along with office hours). Yesterday, both professors (each teaches for half of the semester) had a last minute review session for our exam on Saturday.

Review sessions basically offer time for students to ask questions about anything. For me, it also reminds me just how incredibly brilliant my professors here at Vanderbilt are–people will ask questions that I don’t have the slightest clue about, and our professors will explain everything and draw diagrams–all from memory.

Finals week has been tough, but having a review session and being able to get some questions answered has made studying for biology a little less stressful. Wish me luck on Saturday!
