My New Favorite Subject: Neuroscience!

Mar. 30, 2011—This semester, I’m taking Neuroscience with Dr. Leslie Smith. I kind of enrolled on a whim, since the Cognitive Psychology class I wanted was full. Let me just go ahead and say that I’m now planning on majoring in Neuroscience; that’s how awesome it is.

Mar. 30, 2011—It’s in the air. That’s right, winter workouts are a thing of the past and spring football is under way! Over the course of the past week, most SEC schools returned to the practice fields in preparation for another year of college football. Being from Auburn, I follow my Tigers religiously but I have started...

Bataan

Mar. 30, 2011—The hardest thing I’ve ever done. That’s how I would describe the Bataan Memorial Death March. From a 0345 (3:45 am) wakeup to the most physically and mentally challenging 26 miles in the world, it was an intense day with a lot of ups and downs.

Mar. 27, 2011—This weekend was randomly busy for me, but in a very fun, I-didn’t-do-much-actual-homework kind of way! Friday was the AOII formal, and then Saturday kicked off with the Inaugural I-40 Faceoff: Vandy vs. UT hockey game!

The “Oh My Gosh” Busy Month!

Mar. 27, 2011—It appears as though I have taken a leave of absence from school based on my blog hiatus…but thats not true. The reason I have seemed AWOL is because the past month has been quite the ride academically and extra-curricularly. As you probably saw from Nathan’s earlier post, the Melodores took 2nd place in the...

Habitat for Humanity

Mar. 26, 2011—At 5:30 this morning, just as my roommate was getting into bed (I think that she is nocturnal), I woke up to go build a house with Vanderbilt’s Habitat for Humanity. On my walk from the Commons to the CPH (Community Partnership House) at 6 am, I was definitely second-guessing myself. Why did I wake...

AOII Red Rose Ball

Mar. 26, 2011—One fun perk of being in a sorority is having a formal—an excuse to dress up, go out to dinner, and dance with all your friends. Alpha Omicron Pi had our formal last night, and since it was so much fun, I figured I’d share a little about it.
