Family

Feb. 14, 2011—There comes a time in every college student’s life when they realize that they have a person or group of people that makes them feel completely at home. This could be a roommate, a friend group, an extracurricular organization, a professor, or even a particularly friendly janitor. For me, it’s the Original Cast.

Professors…They’re Real People Too

Nov. 1, 2010—This week for Vanderbilt Visions, the freshman orientation program, my group went to an event called Talking Heads at Dean Wcislo’s House. The ‘talking heads’ were three of the Faculty Heads of Houses of the Commons. This installment of the Talking Heads series featured Chalene Helmuth, of Sutherland House, and Tony Brown and Chase Lesane-Brown,...

‘Dore for a Day

Oct. 18, 2010—I’m involved with the ‘Dore for a Day program with the AmbassaDores, and I hosted my first students last week! I actually had a lot of fun and I think I showed the students a good, real perspective of Vandy. We started out walking to the Commons and eating lunch in the dining hall, because...
