A Short Visit to Chicago
Jul. 24, 2012—This weekend, I took a short trip to Chicago. And I mean short; we left Friday afternoon and were home by Sunday night. Nevertheless, I got to visit my family, go to a unique Chicago hot spot, and eat at my favorite restaurants. Here is a recap of my trip.
Big Easy Express
Jul. 24, 2012—Yesterday evening, some of my friends and I went to the Belcourt Theatre in Hillsboro Village, right next to Vanderbilt, to attend a FREE screening of Big Easy Express, a documentary about a train tour by Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes (who played at Rites of Spring two years ago), and...

Jul. 23, 2012—The title says it all. My summer break has been much too good to me. While there is a small void in my life without my Vandy friends, being back home has been filled with wonderful memories!
A Fear Confronted
Jul. 23, 2012—About a month ago, I spent three days thoroughly outside of my comfort zone. Don’t expect a story of an amazing adventure in a faraway place, though–this happened a mere ten minutes from my house.

I personally have known these three students for a few years, and I couldn’t be happier that they are attending the greatest school on the planet! To help welcome them to the community, I decided to interview them.

A Day in the Life: Stubbs Lab
Jul. 12, 2012—I’ve blogged in the past about my undergraduate research in a structural biology lab at Vanderbilt and how this summer I’m working full-time as a part of a summer research program called VUSRP, but I’ve never really gotten into the nitty gritty of what I do in lab. Welcome to a day in the life...
Nearby Wonders: Mammoth Cave
Jul. 9, 2012—There are tons of awesome places to go and sights to see around Nashville, so this weekend, a few friends of mine and I decided to trek drive 1 hour and 40 min from good ol’ Nashville, TN all the way to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. It was an awful hot and humid midsummer day,...
