Predators, Concerts, and Majors. Oh my!
Oct. 20, 2011—There are lots of things to catch up on! On Thursday evening, after my swarm of midterms were finally done, I went with my friend Rachel-Chloe to the opening game of the Nashville Predators vs. the Phoenix Coyotes at Bridgestone Arena, courtesy of A.I.Ch.E– the Chemical Engineering Society here at Vanderbilt!
Still Waiting for School
Oct. 20, 2011—Now that I am done with my month-and-a-half internship, I’m just waiting for school to start. Without a doubt, you are sitting in front of your screen, absolutely appalled by that statement. I’ll explain.
Me vs. Nature
Oct. 20, 2011—Let me just start off by saying that I love nature. Really, I do. I love that Vanderbilt is a national arboretum, I respect the freedom of the squirrels at Vanderbilt to leap out of trashcans if they so desire, and I do not in any way enjoy harming small birds. NOT AT ALL.
Disc Golf!
Oct. 19, 2011—College is all about trying new things, right? Well, last weekend, I had the chance to play my first ever game of disc golf.
Flu-la-palooza
Oct. 13, 2011—Yesterday, Vanderbilt University attempted to break a world record, by administering the most flu shots in a day. Flu-la-palooza smashed the previous record, so be sure to look for us in next year’s Guinness Book of World Records.

If you’ve been following my blogging, you’ll remember that on Spring Break last year, I went on a mission trip called Spring SPOTs. Well, the Vanderbilt BCM has a Fall break equivalent of that trip...
Fall Break with Memaw and Poppa
Oct. 12, 2011—I spent fall break on the beautiful Lake Hartwell in Lavonia, Georgia with some of my sorority sisters and our friends at the lake house of my friend Jennifer’s grandparents. I had never been to Georgia before, and this was an amazing first trip! We spent four days laying in the sun, swimming in the...
Summer in South Africa
Oct. 10, 2011—Last spring, while my friends were frantically trying to secure summer internships, I was relaxing (well as much as any Vandy student can relax…). I had decided to spend my summer in South Africa with the VISAGE program.
Softball and the Justice League
Oct. 10, 2011—As fall rolls around, the leaves change, and a chill begins to nip at our noses (before the temperature rises 40 degrees in the afternoon, NASHVILLE), Major League Baseball reaches the climactic final days of its regular season, where deserving teams play to the last out in order to make the playoffs. When, however, the...
The Crazy Ones Will Change the World -R.I.P, Jobs
Oct. 8, 2011—I was immensely inspired by the quote: “they (some people) leave the world a better place than they found it.” People may pass away, but the world will remember them forever because their impacts will continue to knock the hearts and to inspire other souls. These great people are a source of courage, a trigger...
