Finals Can Be Fun
Dec. 12, 2013—Last week, I presented my final project for my theatre class this semester. The Title? Moral, Musical, & Mythical: The Hunger Games as Melodrama.
Final Project Frenzy
Dec. 12, 2013—As of two hours ago, I am officially done with the first semester of my senior year. (That right there is a scary sentence.) This semester, I only had one actual final, which translates to a lot of final projects.
Transitions
Dec. 10, 2013—Next semester I get the scary-cool opportunity to take a break from Vanderbilt's campus and intern in the campus recruiting department for Deloitte in Chicago. This will serve as my HOD internship, a requirement for my degree program that sort of acts as a capstone project.
The Train Wreck that was Corporate Strategy, and How I Survived
Dec. 10, 2013—A lot of my life here at Vanderbilt revolves around group projects, which, day-to-day, looks like 10:45 pm meetings, Google Docs galore, throwing PowerPoints together like nobody's business, team evaluations, and projects that eat up your life. LET IT SNOW
Dec. 10, 2013—After five hours spent in the library working on a research paper, I emerged into the night with my spirits low and in desperate need of caffeine to get me through the next ten pages. I was met by a beautiful sight: snow. And lots of it!
Man-I’ve-Been-Bad-at-Pacing-These-This-Semester Monday, Part 2
Dec. 9, 2013—While I’m gearing up for finals this week (wish me luck!), I’ve also been gearing up for the holidays. The result is my newest masterpiece, “Twas the Week of Vandy Exams."
Teaching at Peabody
Dec. 9, 2013—I have recently realized just how little I knew about what it took to become a teacher before I came to Vanderbilt. I did not know anything about the steps that were taken, and the different nuances you could receive in your degree. I had never had anyone spell it out for me, so I wanted to give all potential future Peabody-attendees a summary of what to look forward to in the upcoming years...
A Holiday Party
Dec. 9, 2013—As seniors, my friends and I are trying to fit a lot of fun in the little time left that we have at Vanderbilt. Therefore, despite the copious amounts of papers and exams that we all have this week, we decided to take a break and celebrate. We celebrated the holidays, the end of our last fall semester, and my friend's birthday.
The End
Dec. 9, 2013—Finals week: It's stressful because I feel pressure to do well on these last projects, papers, and exams, but yet the process is straightforward enough that I am not truly anxious about it. Or at least, not as anxious as I thought I would be. First, let me distinguish between stress and anxiety.
