My Thanksgiving in Pictures

I decided to switch it up a bit, so this blog is presented to you in the form of a photo adventure through my Thanksgiving break!
Click through the photo gallery to read all about my break:
We got back from Nationals in time for the UT game! This is Tim, Alice, Daniel, and me after the game.
This is Estelle, my sister’s pomeranian. She greeted me when I first got home from the airport, and stuck by my side all week!
My brother and I with Estelle in my dad’s office at work. He’s working near where my cousins live right now, so we all went, dropped him off at work, and spent the day with my cousin and her two kids.
Estelle and I did some napping.
I took Estelle with me to Lowe’s when I went with my mom and aunt to pick up a few things for the house at Lowe’s.
This is Eddie, my brother’s dog, and Estelle sleeping on my lap. We did a lot of lounging over break, and the dogs didn’t mind at all.
This is my aunt’s dog, Betty. She visited us last week, so I spent some time with her. She’s a chug–a chihuahua-pug mix. So ugly, she’s cute!
Lounging in the 85 degree weather is exhausting work.
Betty sunbathing.
Thursday evening, my entire family came over for Thanksgiving dinner–Eddie had a good time pretending to eat my brother’s food after he was finished.
This is me on Thanksgiving. You may be wondering about the 8-year-old that I’m holding upside down. That’s my cousin Austin–for some reason, he liked it when we did this.
This is Addie–she’s a guide dog-in-training that my family is training right now. She didn’t really like to be picked up, and she got her fur all over me.
On the evening after Thanksgiving, my friend Kevin and I went with his family to the Festival of Lights, a holiday light display on a fancy hotel about 35 minutes from my house. There was also outdoor ice skating (unusual, since I live in California…), food, and plenty of music and people around. It was so pretty and something that I’d definitely like to do again.
Kevin’s one of my best friends from home, and I hadn’t seen him since August, so getting to hang out was great!
Betty and I did some more sunbathing on Saturday. She wanted to try on my mom’s reading glasses.
More sunbathing. Despite only spending a few hours outside, I got a little bit of a tan! Woohoo!
Estelle was so sad that it was almost time for me to leave that she slept on my bed and looked adorable.
This is the beginning of a montage of me and all of the dogs that were at our house before I left for the airport. If I don’t say goodbye to the animals before I leave home, it just doesn’t feel right!
My sister’s other dog, Betsey. She didn’t want to cooperate.
She licked my face.
He didn’t want to cooperate either–he made a funny face.
In-n-Out Burger. Both the first and last place I ate while in California. Break just isn’t complete without my favorite burger place.
Driving to the airport–the next few weeks don’t seem so stressful when I think about going back home to this!
The sign for LAX airport. See you soon, California!
Although my break wasn’t the most eventful, I enjoyed spending time with family and friends and just hanging out and relaxing before the next two weeks of classes and week of finals. It’s the final stretch of the semester, and the promise of winter break and a new semester of classes keeps me going! (You may notice that my post does not include homework…oops.)
