AOII Winter Semiformal
Dec. 4, 2011—Last night was AOII’s third party of the semester, winter semiformal. Our venues are always a surprise because we meet at the house and ride together, so when the bus pulled up to the Country Music Hall of Fame, everyone was pretty excited. But I’m getting ahead of myself—
Panhellenic Preview Day, Take Two
Nov. 7, 2011—Almost one year ago, I blogged about Panhellenic Preview Day, since I was interested in joining a sorority. This past Saturday was Panhellenic Preview Day again, but this time I was on the other side, talking mostly to freshman girls planning on going through recruitment in the spring.
Alpha Male Benefit
Oct. 16, 2011—Each sorority and fraternity has a fall benefit, and ours was today! AOII Live Presents: Alpha Male was basically a male pageant that raised over $7,000 for the Arthritis Foundation.
Soundland 2011
Sep. 24, 2011—One of my biggest regrets from last year was not breaking the “Vanderbubble” enough and, specifically, not seeing many concerts.
Rafting Down the Ocoee
Aug. 30, 2011—Last Saturday morning, I woke up at 5:30 am. Thankfully I was back asleep by 6:30 because I had a long bus ride ahead of me.
We’re Number One!
Aug. 3, 2011—According to Totalfratmove.com, Vanderbilt University has the Number One Fraternity/ Sorority scene in the nation! These rankings, compiled by Princeton Review, will be published in their 2012 edition of The Best 376 Colleges. Some of you may be appalled by this award, but quite frankly, Greek life truly makes Vanderbilt unique, even if you choose...

Last Bash!
Apr. 17, 2011—Last Thursday night, AOII had our Last Bash party to say goodbye to the seniors (I realize I’ve blogged about two of the three parties we’ve had this semester which might give you guys the wrong impression, but I promise we’re about a lot more than that. We have our big philanthropy event this Wednesday!).
American Music Recital
Apr. 11, 2011—As you may have noticed before, I go to a lot of Blair concerts. I’m really not that cultured in the arts, it’s just that my roommate and one of my best friends are in Blair, so I’ve met a bunch of cool people from there or Spirit of Gold (the marching band).
AOII Red Rose Ball
Mar. 26, 2011—One fun perk of being in a sorority is having a formal—an excuse to dress up, go out to dinner, and dance with all your friends. Alpha Omicron Pi had our formal last night, and since it was so much fun, I figured I’d share a little about it.
