Fall is Finally Here!
It’s officially fall here at Vanderbilt. How do I know? Well, for starters, the temperatures have been cooling quickly. Today topped out at 65 degrees, and the crisp air and bright sunshine meant it was the perfect day to study outside. My friend(and fellow blogger) Caitlyn and I went out to Kissam Quad to soak up some Vitamin D as well as get in some studying, and we were certainly not the only ones with that idea. As the weather starts to cool, students across campus flock to the lawns to study, play frisbee or soccer, or just nap in the sunlight. Vanderbilt’s status as a national arboretum makes studying outside extra enjoyable.
Another reason I know it’s fall is that fall break is just around the corner! Though for many students this means midterms are piling up, the excitement of upcoming plans and a break from classes is a light at the end of the tunnel. I’m personally thrilled to be going on the Vanderbilt BCM‘s mission trip to Knoxville, TN, which I will certainly be sharing about here in the future.
Though the trees haven’t quite started changing color yet, I’m excited for all that this fall has in store. I had my first Caramel Apple Spice from Starbucks today, officially solidifying the coming of fall in my mind. With fall break, Homecoming, and a lot more just around the corner I know October is going to fly by!
