Spring Game
This past Sunday was the last (and only…) game of the semester for the women’s club soccer team here at Vanderbilt.
You may recall me posting about club soccer a couple of times last semester (here and here), but sadly we only had one game this semester, since the spring tends to be our less-intense season. Because of my schedule this semester I couldn’t go to practice very often (okay, okay, I only went twice.), but I missed it a lot! I’m not the most active person when I’m on my own for exercise, so let’s just say I’m not in the best shape of my life at the moment.
Anyways, our game was Sunday, here at Vanderbilt, against MTSU. Despite our lack of consistent practice this semester, I’d like to think we dominated. (We tied 1-1.) It was a great day for soccer, and my some of my friends even made the trek to the field (the club sports fields are literally as far away as you can get from our dorm and still be on-campus.) to cheer me on! (embarrassing signs included.)
Since it was the last game of the year, it was also the last game ever for the seniors, since they’re graduating in a week. :( I’m going to miss them all SO much next year, but I know they’re all going on to do great things. (like working for Homeland Security. whaaaat. so cool.)
Ginny, this one’s for you.
