All in
As uncharacteristic as it may initially seem, I really love sports. I enjoy watching them, talking about them, and playing them. Being part of the SEC definitely does not disappoint.
My declaration of my love for sports has purpose, I promise. Today during my tour guide meeting (where we welcomed the newest generation of guides!) we heard from the Head Football Coach James Franklin. Coach Franklin may be one of my favorite speakers to listen to because you can always tell he is passionate about his team, our football program, and the direction it is headed. It is so encouraging to know that when he says he is “all in,” he really means it.
Our boys really made an impact last season showcasing the potential they have as talented football players. Our coaching staff has been working really hard with the team, and with the new recruits coming soon to join them, we are definitely going to make our mark in the SEC football world next season. I honestly cannot wait for the next season to get started when we kick off the season at home against South Carolina!
Until then, we have our annual Spring “Black and Gold” game, as mentioned by another blogger. It’s a game where our football team plays against each other (black vs. gold) in a game open to the public as a way to let everyone see how Commodore football is doing and to get people ready for the vibrant season that awaits! Obviously on April 14 I’ll be at Dudley Field rooting for my Commodores. The question is…do I wear black or gold??
