Valentine’s Day!
I was about to type that I’d had too much chocolate yesterday, but then I realized that’s not possible. Either way, I probably ate an unhealthy amount of chocolate because it was Valentine’s Day! Come on, all the sugar, chocolate, and baked goods are one of the best parts of the day.
Of course I say one of the best parts because I also love getting to ignore schoolwork for a few hours and hang out with friends, despite our busy schedules.
I started off the day yesterday by visiting my little sister from Big Brothers Big Sisters at her middle school. The school was decorated with valentines and roses, and everybody seemed cheerful and on their best behavior. My little told me all about the valentines she had given and received— it was great to spend such a loving holiday together.
After returning to campus and writing a quick lab report, I headed back to the Mayfield to figure out a game plan. For some reason, we were all feeling indecisive (probably crashing from the sugar high) so we watched movie trailers for a good 20 minutes before deciding we didn’t want to go to a movie. Instead, we went to Chick-fil-a! The five of us piled in the car and drove to the new Chick-fil-a on Charlotte Pike (even closer than the one in Brentwood). Needless to say, it was a perfect meal.
After letting all that food digest for a while, we drove downtown to Laser Quest. Unfortunately we had just missed the last game of the night, but even after returning to the Mayf we had fun just hanging out together. It was another great Valentine’s Day.
