Last Bash
Before all of the Rites of Spring fun started last Friday, AOII had our last date party of the semester: Last Bash!
On Thursday night, we all met at Branscomb and took buses to McFadden’s in downtown Nashville. The theme for this party was “Go for the O,” since we’re the only sorority on campus with the word “Omicron,” so we were supposed to dress up as something that started with the letter “O.” People dressed up as Olympians, Olsen twins, opposites, Organic Chemistry, odd numbers, oblivious to the theme, and even the color orange.
Christina and her friend from ASB dressed up as the ocean:
Katie and her roommate dressed up as oreos:
Heather and 8 friends (including Caitlyn, #4) dressed up as Octomom and her children:
My Mayfield housemate Victoria and I dressed up as One Direction fangirls:
(One Direction is a British boy band that I’m slightly obsessed with…they’re just so catchy!)
Last Bash was so much fun because, as the name implies, it was the last big get-together with the seniors who will be graduating soon! I don’t think it’s hit me that some of the funniest people in my sorority won’t be around next semester (and I’m trying to avoid sad thoughts like that) but I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know them the past two years. My grandbig, big, little, and I are getting our last family dinner tomorrow night and I don’t even want to think about saying goodbye.
