Our new bloggers are in the house, and it’s time to get some fresh perspectives on the blog.
Please welcome our new friends to Inside ‘Dores and look for posts from some unfamiliar (but exciting and very pretty) faces. We welcome a new class of bloggers from Blair, Engineering, Peabody, and Arts and Sciences. That’s right. Every school. We bring you transfer students, international students, and students from all across the United States. Yeah, you could say we’re diverse.
New stories will be coming at you soon from new parts of campus. So be prepared to meet our newest members, and see what they are up to on campus.
I just got back from the first session of new blogger training, and let me tell you, these are some cool folks. So cool that I just had to give you guys a heads up on their upcoming posts because they are going to be top-tier.
Look at us! We have a fancy powerpoint!
I couldn’t help but reflect on my own training session my freshman year (geeze, I’m old). Writing for Inside ‘Dores had been something I wanted to do even before I set foot on Vanderbilt’s campus. I love the ability to tell my story, as a first-generation college student with a lot of Vandy love, to other prospective student’s who went through the same thought process, struggles, and late night bouts of anxiety that I did in the college process.
I remember some of my very first blog posts. Excited ramblings of concerts I attended, events I stayed too long at, and long nights on Peabody lawn where I realized that Vanderbilt was the place for me. Vanderbilt is a wild ride, and I am gladly in the front-seat.
I saw that same sense of excitement in the faces of the new blogger’s tonight, and the nostalgia’s got me all warm and fuzzy inside. These new bloggers can’t wait to tell you all about what makes them Vanderbilt students, and I know you guys are just as pumped as I am to get the inside scoop on other Vanderbilt experiences.
So keep a tab open and be sure to stay tuned because there are brand new bloggers on the horizon!
