It is Finished
I’m done. With my last final, I have finished my academic career at Vanderbilt.
It’s been a long and exciting journey over these past four years and I have grown immensely from everything that I have experienced. My Vanderbilt experience will be something that I will never forget. At Vandy, I have been able to learn so much while meeting the most incredible people in the world. I walk out of here with a close-knit group of friends who I know I can always count on and I walk out with a Vanderbilt education that will help me to strive for the highest goals.
Upon graduation, I will be working full time at a laboratory at Vanderbilt Medical Center working as a research assistant. I also plan on taking night classes to pursue a Master’s Degree as I continue to work towards my goals. After working as a research assistant, I plan to apply to Medical School or Graduate School and continue my education towards a Doctorate degree. Who knows what is ahead for me? But I’m excited to see where I will 5 years from now.
Anyways, I won’t start until after graduation. Until then, I will be spending my time at the beach as per the Senior Year tradition of “Beach Week” where the seniors go down to Florida for a week between the last day of exams and graduation day. Finally, I will be able to spend some free time without feeling bad about some upcoming exam. No more. I am done with college.
