#WordWednesday
As Caitlyn mentioned in her post, we’re trying to do something new, fun, and inexpensive in Nashville each weekend. Our first weekend brought us to a free movie at the Belcourt, and on Sunday we ventured downtown to brave the crowds to catch a free CMA Fest concert by the river–we saw Lonestar and then wandered around downtown where the streets were shut down and there were tons of free giveaways and fun happenings.
Since we are busy with work and internships this summer, we needed a way to make sure we would also be dedicated to sharing all of these exciting adventures with our lovely readers (that’s you)! Thus, the evolution of #WordWednesday (because every good reoccurring event needs a witty title and a hashtag).
#WordWednesday is when on a Wednesday afternoon or evening we explore a nearby coffee-shop or hangout (we’ve chosen Bongo Java as our haunt these past two weeks) and work on our blogs, correspondences, and read. It’s a delightful little oasis of words amid the busy workweek and it gives us the chance to check out all of the neat coffee shops we live by that we normally wouldn’t have a chance to check out during the school year!
Slowly but surely, we’ve been settling into a rhythm of summer life here in Nashville. While working every day is tiring, I definitely haven’t missed having homework. Last weekend was also full of adventures, so stay tuned for more of those!
