Vacation All I Ever Wanted
I’ve been on summer break for about two days now, and what a two days they have been.
I’ve watched a solid ten or so episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and read two young adult novels (guilty pleasures for the win). After finishing up such a challenging semester, I figured I deserve the break and haven’t even checked my email in two days, which is unheard of in college.
On Sunday, my mom and I are driving to Charleston, S.C. to really kick off summer break. My family and one of my best friends since 2nd grade Mackenzie live there so it’s almost a second home…one with a beach! As much as I love laying out in my backyard reading, nothing compares to sitting on the beach with family/friends and a good book for a whole day. I plan on getting as much beach time as possible during our first Charleston visit of the summer (hopefully there are more to come).
My jobs for the summer won’t start for at least a few weeks too so I’ll have time to work on my med school apps (like Erica) when I get back! I’m not actually sure if that deserves an exclamation point, but it is kind of exciting to be getting ready for that part of my life. Also a little terrifying…but mainly exciting. Either way, I’m riding my finals high for a few more days before re-entering the real world.
