Vandy Chills
Want another reason Vanderbilt is awesome? Today, they had their annual “Vandy Chills” day where they serve free ice cream to Vandy employees. Luckily, student employee applies as well! They set up these tents around campus around lunch time and handed out ice cream sandwiches, Nutty Buddy’s, and Popsicles. It was actually kind of funny to see all the researchers and medical center staff and professors emerge from their respective buildings to flock to these ice cream tents.
And during a hot Nashville summer, what better to do during lunch than leave the cold AC of your workplace to take a nice stroll outside and then get FREE ICE CREAM. Pretty ideal, I think. So I set my experiments up for a short pause and met up with my friend working in the med center. We sat on burning hot benches and ate our delicious ice cream cones. A nice bit of relaxation, and then back to work!
How awesome is it that we get to go to a school that puts on awesome events for its employees like this? Thanks Vanderbilt, you rock!
