My Fall Schedule
As the drop/ add period is finally coming to a close, my schedule is officially set. I am currently enrolled in fifteen hours and ZERO labs. This is a first for me, so I am actually planning on using my free afternoons researching in a lab in the medical center (more on that, later). Here is my schedule:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday:
- 9:00 AM: Genetics
- 10:00 AM: Persuasion
Tuesday and Thursday:
- 9:35 AM: Rhetoric of the America Experience, 1865-1945
- 10:50 AM: Rhetoric of Social Movements
- 1:10 PM: Contemporary American Drama
It looks good, doesn’t it? I am taking three classes for my Communication Studies major. Although I am not pursuing any science degree, I love biology and I am trying to maintain a rigorous science curriculum. Hopefully, this will behoove me in medical school. Contemporary American Drama is an honors seminar, that goes toward a degree with honors in the College of Arts and Science. I know absolutely nothing about plays, so I cannot wait to delve into something so far outside of my comfort zone.
I love my schedule because of the timing. Today, after my classes, which ended at 11 AM, I was able to run, go to lunch with friends, pick up a package, go to the bookstore and get my homework done with enough time to blog and watch TV! Granted, it’s only the first week of class and my reading assignments will surely double, but I love getting up early and having the day free. College is great because we have the freedom to choose our schedules. Some of my friends don’t have class until 2 PM, and other go from 8-5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but have a four-day weekend. Different strokes for different folks?
