All Moved In and Ready to Go

Just a few minutes ago, I said good-bye to my parents as they dropped me off for my junior year. It’s been a whirlwind couple of days, but I am just about settled into my new room. This year, I am living in a Towers double with the my room mate from last year. So far, Towers has been great. We have an elevator and a trash chute- two upgrades from Branscomb, although we are a little higher up this year. There is also an underground tunnel that connects us to Towers West. The coolest part, though, is that our ten best friends are all in singles on the same floor!

Besides my new room and my old friends, I am so excited to back for my junior year for so many other reasons. Time flies, but I am determined to make this semester last and to enjoy every minute of it. This semester, I am enrolled in 15 credit hours. 9 of these hours are for my major in Communications Studies, which is an all-time high. I am so excited to finally get into the heart of my major. In my free time, I am going to attempt to train for a marathon and do some research with a GI doctor at the Vanderbilt Medical Center.

I am also so excited about football season this year. Coach Franklin has put together a great recruiting class (top 15 in the nation!) and the stadium renovations are really coming along. We have a great schedule, including our Thursday night season opener against the University of South Carolina. In case you are missing a little bit of James Franklin, watch this video of Coach Franklin working his recruiting magic.
