A Farewell Game
Throughout the year, my band friends and I have regularly hosted game nights. One of our favorite games is Telestrations. This game is a mixture of Pictionary and Telephone… the objective of the game is to start with a word or phrase, draw it, pass it around to other players, and end up with the same word or phrase. It might sound confusing, but it’s addicting and we usually end up with crazy deviations from the original word or phrase. Last night, we played Telestrations one last time before everyone left for summer vacation.
When we have a game night, it is usually in the Commons Center. The venue is a central location for all of my friends, and it provides a great atmosphere. Other fun activities in Commons Center include playing pool, foosball, or ping pong. There are also a lot of plasma TVs and comfortable chairs, so it is common to see a group of friends watching a sports game or a TV show at the Commons Center. I have enjoyed late nights of relaxing and catching up with friends at this central location.
It finally hit me last night that I will not see some of my friends until August. I am glad that I am going home this summer, but I will miss Vandy and all of my new friends. Playing a farewell game of Telestrations was just what I needed to end the school year and say my goodbyes. I am looking forward to next year, and cannot wait for all the fun that my friends and I will have!
