Halloweekend
Even though we’re over the age of 12, college kids still like to dress up for Halloween. If anything, we might be especially excited for this holiday because we can take a break from our stressful lives and remember being a kid.
This year, I had two costumes. On Friday night, I was a Jedi, or more specifically part of the Sith, since I had a red light saber. I know what you’re thinking, “Why would she buy a light saber for only one night?” However, two of my friends just happened to have their light sabers with them at college and were nice enough to let my friend Victoria and me borrow them.
Last night, Victoria and I were the Blue Barracudas from the ‘90s TV show Legends of the Hidden Temple. Needless to say, anyone who actually understood the reference got brownie points in my book.
This weekend was a great change of pace from my week, since I’d had two tests. I got to act like a little kid and still enjoy free candy (that at least doesn’t stop even when you enter college).
