Last Bash!
Last Thursday night, AOII had our Last Bash party to say goodbye to the seniors (I realize I’ve blogged about two of the three parties we’ve had this semester which might give you guys the wrong impression, but I promise we’re about a lot more than that. We have our big philanthropy event this Wednesday!).
The overall theme of the party was a surprise and all we were told was to dress along the lines of an animal/jungle/zoo. The sophomores were Hawaiian/beach-themed while the juniors were Greek/Roman. When I arrived at the house Thursday night, right away I saw a senior wearing a red striped shirt. When she put on her red striped hat, I realized who she was…Waldo, from the Where’s Waldo children books. Each class had dressed as a different background for the “Waldos” to blend in with, which I thought was an awesome theme.
The rest of the party was so much fun, as expected. I took my friend Victoria this time and she got to meet a lot of my sisters as we were all dancing together. There was a photobooth again and the DJ was really good. All of the new members/“baby pandas” even performed a dance for the seniors at the end.
After we got back to Vanderbilt, two of our other friends informed us that they were going to see Scream 4 at midnight. Since Victoria and I had watched the first three movies with them, we just had to join. Even though it was probably not the best idea to watch a new scary movie that late at night, Scream 4 did not disappoint and I slept like a baby afterwards (Victoria can’t say the same…). Even after all the Thursday night activities, I still made it to my 9 o’clock class the next morning.
