Riding the Wave
Whew. What a crazy week it’s been. Last Thursday, I had my first test in Calculus for the semester. Then, on Tuesday, I had a test for Neuroscience in the morning, and a test for Chemistry that night, not to mention I had lab and another class that day too. To wrap it up, I wrote my first big paper for my Writing Seminar yesterday.
As I think I’ve mentioned before, the workload at Vanderbilt comes in waves. Big tests or papers usually line up within a week or two of one another, so Vandy students are especially good at time management. There is definitely a positive side to the wave trend though, because afterwards, we have some serious free time. After my one class this morning, I caught up on Modern Family and How I Met Your Mother, and this afternoon I plan on grabbing dinner at Fido in Hillsboro with some friends. I think we might even head over to Green Hills this weekend and see Justin Bieber’s movie, Never Say Never, (he’s our latest guilty pleasure). So I don’t mean to scare anyone with my last week, because I never even had a week as busy as that last semester, and honestly, I prefer my schedule to work out this way. Now I can sit back and enjoy the calm, for a few days anyway.
